Is the calendar integration two-way?

Yes. SiteSurvey calendar integration is two-way — jobs assigned in SiteSurvey appear in team members' personal calendars, and external calendar events block out availability in SiteSurvey.

Yes. The calendar integration in SiteSurvey is two-way. Jobs assigned to a team member in SiteSurvey are written to that person's connected calendar automatically, so they appear alongside other appointments in Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar. At the same time, events already in the personal calendar are read back into SiteSurvey and shown as unavailable time when managers are building the schedule.

This means a holiday, training day, or personal appointment entered directly into a team member's calendar will show up as blocked time in SiteSurvey, preventing a manager from booking a job into a slot that is already taken. The availability check happens without the team member needing to manually update SiteSurvey.

Changes made on either side are reflected on the other. If a job is rescheduled in SiteSurvey, the calendar event updates accordingly. If a team member cancels a personal appointment in their calendar, that time is released back as available in SiteSurvey. Both directions stay in sync without any manual action from managers or field staff.

The two-way sync reduces the administrative overhead of keeping separate scheduling systems aligned. Teams that previously maintained both a field management tool and personal calendars independently often found that the two fell out of sync quickly. With a live two-way connection, the schedule each person sees in their calendar is always the current one.
