Location Data & Employee Tracking

The SiteSurvey mobile app includes an optional location-tracking feature for field staff. Where an organisation enables it, the app collects the device's geographic location (GPS coordinates and timestamps) so the organisation can see which team members are on site and coordinate field work. This applies to people who use the app as part of their employment.

• Enabled by the organisation. Location tracking is off by default and only operates when an account administrator turns it on, both for the company and for the individual user.
• Working hours only. When enabled, location is collected only during the working hours configured for that user, and collection automatically stops outside those hours.
• Device permission required. Tracking requires the user to grant location permission to the app on their device. Users can review or withdraw this permission at any time in their device settings, which stops collection.
• Clear indication. While tracking is active, the app shows an on-screen indicator so the user is aware their location is being shared.
• What we collect. Latitude and longitude coordinates with timestamps, linked to the user's account. We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Location data is retained for operational and record-keeping purposes and handled in line with this policy and applicable data-protection law.
