Troubleshoot an Excel refresh

Resolve missing, outdated or unexpected BOQ information when refreshing a connected workbook.

First confirm the correct data exists in SiteSurvey and has synced to the web portal. Excel can only pull the current data available from that connected project.
  1. 01

    Confirm the source project

Check the workbook is connected to the intended SiteSurvey workspace and project.

  2. 02

    Check SiteSurvey data

Open the project in the web portal and confirm the expected space, product or data point is present.

  3. 03

    Check field selection

Make sure the missing data type is included in the add-on’s selected fields.

  4. 04

    Save and refresh

Save the workbook, then use the add-on to pull the current SiteSurvey data again.

  5. 05

    Correct the source if needed

Make changes in SiteSurvey—not Excel—then repeat the refresh.

Good to know

  • Excel edits do not synchronise back into SiteSurvey.
  • Record the project name, workbook version and affected fields when contacting support.
